New York Street Style: Re-introducing Jasmine!

Style that sparkles and scintillates with superb showmanship! Jasmine, aka Vintage Vandalizm (visit her blog), once again struts her style in Soho. Initially, I was only going to include the first and last pictures, but then we had a lot of fun taking pictures so I included the middle one too.

New York Street Fashion: Bleeker and 7th Avenue South

When I asked her for a picture I almost accidentally asked, "Will you marry me?" Instead, an "I love your outfit, may I take a picture?" came out.
How that happened is a wonder and I'm not about to place one of those silly classified ads at the back of the Village Voice either.

New York Street Style: Marc Jacobs and Rachel Zoe

The first time I took Marc's picture, I discovered that he was a friendly guy, as he optimistically smiled for my camera. The second time I took his picture, my initial impressions were further confirmed as he told the Mercer Kitchen security guard it was okay for me to take a picture. Thanks!

BRB: Be Right Back
It's going to be a slow week as far as updates are concerned. I'll be back on Monday with fresh updates though.
In the meantime, there is a great street fashion site run by Pete Miszuk, the street fashion photographer for Elle.com whom I had the pleasure of chatting with briefly during London Fashion Week. You might be interested in visiting his site for regular updates.
As well, a Happy Birthday goes out to my friend Suzanne Scott whose work titled Asbury is pictured above. She's already an
accomplished artist and looks forward to showcasing her work at galleries in Cologne and Milan.
See you soon with new pictures!

New York Street Style: Enrique Muthuan

This is Enrique Muthuan a jewelry designer based out of Williamsburg. His site depicts some really interesting jewelry pieces . No surprise there as he's dressed equally well. I picked out this shot since it clearly depicts the tatoo on his left hand.

New York Street Fashion: Deconstructed Detail

This is Rashad. The first thing I noticed about Rashad's outfit was neither his hair nor the contrast between his shirt collar (solid) and rest of his shirt (stripes), but his vest. The sides appeared thinner than normal. It was no surprise then to find that Rashad had deconstructed the vest himself, removing with scissors all but one button on the front.

New York Street Style: Desmond

Coat--Diesel
Denim-- Miss Sixty
Shoes--Galliano
Shades--Giorgio Armani
On a non fashion note, my condo renovations are finally complete. It only took 4 weeks! I'll be accessorizing with masks from Guatemala and rawhide posters from Argentina to achieve a tribal/minimal feel. For a peek at my kitchen, click HERE , click here for a peek at my bathroom, here for a peek at my bedroom, and here for a closeup of my kitchen sink.

New York Street Fashion: smoke break on Spring Street

This is Adam. The first thing I noticed about him was his quirky retro styled hair cut. Then I noticed a traditional double breasted jacket modernized by it's asymmetrical zippers, length, and epaulettes. Naturally, he color coordinates the coat with the striped shirt. The kiltie vamped oxford shoes in blue really put together a total outfit.
Jacket--Marc by Marc Jacobs
Jeans--J. Lindeberg
Shoes--Marc Jacobs

New York Street Fashion: Virginia from Greece

Typical New York street style can often include the use of black as the foundational color through which to build an outfit. I respect Virginia's atypical use of color and geometric patterns...it kind of has a Bohemian feel to it.
Pants--Zara
Boots--Steve Madden
Bag--Insight
Scarf--hand made by a friend
t-shirt--Cheap Monday
